Francis Moore

Bio

Francis Moore is the Executive Director Administration for the Archdiocese of Melbourne.  Francis was appointed to the Archdiocese in 2007.  In his current role, Francis is responsible for advising the Archbishop about the financial and temporal affairs of the Archdiocese.  This includes, providing strategic and policy advice and ensuring that there is adequate accountability to the Archbishop and his advisory bodies on all matters affecting the financial and general administrative systems of the Archdiocese.

Francis is a Trustee of the Roman Catholic Trusts Corporation for the Diocese of Melbourne, the Deputy Chair and Chair of the Audit Committee of the Catholic Education Commission of Victoria and the Catholic Development Fund of the Archdiocese of Melbourne. He is a director of Catholic Network Australia Limited, a director of Catholic Capital Grants (Victoria) Ltd and a member of Australian Catholic University and the Victorian Chapter of ACU.

Between 1985 and 2001 Francis was a partner in a Melbourne based legal practice where he had an extensive legal practice in banking and finance as legal advisor to mutual financial institutions. He has also acted as legal advisor to religious orders, church agencies, commercial and private clients and organisations in the not for profit sector.

In 2017, Francis was awarded the Knight Commander of the Order of St Gregory.
